On December 8, 2024, the parish of the Immaculate Conception in San Francisco celebrated its patronal feast with great solemnity. The Divine Liturgy brought parishioners together in heartfelt prayer for peace, Ukraine’s victory, the soldiers, and the entire Ukrainian nation.
During his homily, Fr. Roman Bobesiuk urged the congregation to embrace perseverance and resilience, drawing inspiration from the lives of the righteous Joachim and Anna, the parents of the Mother of God. The Liturgy concluded with the blessing of water and anointing, symbolizing grace and spiritual renewal.
The celebration continued in the parish hall, where children from the Princess Olga School welcomed St. Nicholas. The young performers greeted the saint with a play and poems, filling the hearts of those present with warmth and joy. St. Nicholas, in turn, presented gifts to the children, adding a special light to the day.
The festivities concluded with a hospitable gathering, where parishioners enjoyed delicious dishes and shared warm fellowship.
Heartfelt gratitude is extended to everyone who contributed to the organization of this magnificent celebration, which became an occasion for spiritual growth and unity.
