On the day of the Theophany of Our Lord, which reminds us that heaven is open to us and that we are beloved children of God, our parish solemnly celebrated this great feast. The festive day began with the Divine Liturgy, presided over by Fr. Roman Bobesiuk, concelebrated by Deacon Oleg Zatvarskyi.
After the Liturgy, the Great Blessing of Water took place. Fr. Christopher Hadley SJ joined in this prayer.
Later, all those who wished proceeded to the shore of the Pacific Ocean. There, under the open sky and amidst the grandeur of God’s creation, the waters of the ocean were blessed, and prayers were offered for San Francisco and the cities of the entire Bay Area.
This special moment served as a reminder of the importance of spiritual renewal, unity, and openness to God’s love. Parishioners returned home with blessed water, spiritual joy, and gratitude for the opportunity to share this festive occasion together.
May God’s blessing embrace every home, every family, and every heart, and may the blessed water, united with faith, become a source of healing, peace, and spiritual strength for all of us.
