On January 26, our parish hosted a significant event – Rozkolyada, which became the pinnacle of the Christmas season, filled with prayer, family warmth, and Ukrainian traditions. This year’s gathering united parishioners in the shared joy of glorifying the newborn Savior and provided an opportunity for mutual support and gratitude.
During Rozkolyada, our parish community extended heartfelt birthday greetings to our pastor, Fr. Roman Bobesiuk.
The youngest participants – students of St. Olga’s Ukrainian School – presented a Nativity play reflecting modern Ukrainian realities. Through their performance, the children reminded us of the power of faith, the unity of the people, and the tireless struggle for truth and a bright future for Ukraine.
Carols, traditional greetings, and Christmas wishes filled the hall with a joyful atmosphere.
In addition to spiritual enrichment, the event had a charitable purpose. The Ukrainian Women’s League organized a fair where various handmade crafts and homemade baked goods were sold. All proceeds will be donated to assist those affected by the fire in Los Angeles.
Delicious traditional dishes, heartfelt conversations, and shared joy created an unforgettable atmosphere. Everyone who attended Rozkolyada felt the warmth of the community and the strength of unity in Christ’s love.
A sincere thank you to all who contributed to the organization and success of this celebration! May the Lord bless everyone who serves for His glory, and may the spirit of Christmas accompany us throughout the year!
