A rally in support of Ukraine took place in San Francisco on February 23, the day before the third anniversary of russia’s full-scale invasion. Parishioners of the Immaculate Conception and St. Volodymyr churches, together with Fr. Roman Bobesiuk and Fr. Deacon Oleh Zatvarskyy, actively participated, showing their commitment to the future of the Ukrainian people.
During the event, participants held Ukrainian flags and banners with messages of support, expressing solidarity with those fighting for freedom. Fr. Roman addressed the crowd with a pastoral message, emphasizing the importance of unity, prayer, and civic engagement. He urged everyone not only to remember the victims of the war but also to continue supporting Ukrainians in their struggle for truth and justice.
The rally brought together not only Ukrainians but also members of other communities who stand against aggression and support the fight for peace. The event concluded with a united march for Ukraine.
The parish community plans to continue participating in similar initiatives to remind the world of Ukraine’s resilience and the urgent need for continued support.
