On Sunday, March 23, our parish family was happy to welcome Bishop Benedict Aleksiychuk, the Eparch of St. Nicholas Eparchy. The youngest parishioners greeted him with bread and salt, thanking God for his service and spiritual care.
Bishop Benedict led the Divine Liturgy, concelebrated by Fr. Roman Bobesiuk and Fr. Deacon Oleg Zatvarskyi. In his sermon, the bishop emphasized the importance of bravely carrying our cross—our life’s circumstances—and bearing it with love and gratitude, trusting in God’s Providence.
The Divine Liturgy ended with the singing of “Many Years” and words of gratitude to the bishop for his presence, prayers, and constant support. After the service, there was a warm gathering with a shared meal, where parishioners had the opportunity to talk with the bishop, share their thoughts, and receive spiritual encouragement. The bishop also met with the parish councils to discuss parish development and ministry.
This visit was a great blessing for everyone and strengthened our parish family in prayer and service.
