Last week was especially rich in events connected with our beloved homeland, Ukraine. The Ukrainian community of San Francisco and Silicon Valley actively joined in the celebrations, reminding us of the value of freedom, independence, and unity. Our parishioners, together with their pastor Fr. Roman Bobesiuk, also took part in these events.
Among the moments that left a deep mark on our hearts were:
- The Declaration Ceremony in Santa Clara, which became a symbol of gratitude and recognition of the Ukrainian community in local society.
- The raising of the blue-and-yellow flag at San Francisco City Hall, which united Ukrainians and our American friends in common prayer and hope for victory and peace.
- The hike to the top of Mission Peak, which became a sign of our perseverance and unbroken spirit.
- The Independence Day concert, filled with songs, music, and heartfelt words of love for Ukraine.
All these events, organized by different Ukrainian organizations, reminded us that independence is a gift from God that we must protect. It is a responsibility that calls us to sacrifice, unity, and prayer.
May the Lord bless Ukraine with victory and peace, and may He strengthen our community with faith and love so that we may always remain united in Christ and in our love for our homeland.
